One of my favorite sayings paraphrases J. R. R. Tolkien: “Not all who wander are lost.” I’m glad that your wandering brought you here, to explore my work.
I write suspense, with the hope of encouraging readers. My characters survive the tests of time, the ebb and flow of relationships. Their irreverent humor, respect for others, and realistic perspectives aren’t stereotypic. They don’t expect to win the lottery. Prince (or Princess) Charming won’t rescue them. They’re not winsomely beautiful or fatally handsome. Not one has a six-pack (or ever will), or knows how to knit or lasso.
These characters are authentic and quirky and flawed. They try to be true to themselves—just like the people I most love and respect—as they reach out and sometimes stumble, take risks and sometimes fail. They question norms, do the right thing, and live vigorously. All those traits invariably attract trouble . . . and the other unique souls that populate my multi-generational stories.
So whatever your path and dreams, feel free to wander along with me! I’m glad you’re here, and thanks for stopping by.
